Vancouver, BC named host city for the 2013 Evergreen International Conference

The BC Libraries Cooperative - home of Sitka - and the King County Library System (KCLS) jointly proposed to host the 2013 Evergreen International Conference. We are thrilled to announce that the Evergreen Conference Site Selection Committee has accepted our proposal and chosen Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada as the site for the 2013 Evergreen International Conference.

BC Libraries Cooperative and KCLS are proud of our involvement in the Evergreen community and we are keen to provide a forum for mutual learning, networking and the continued development of Evergreen and the International Evergreen Community.

The Evergreen Conference is an annual gathering of software developers, system administrators, and end users of the Evergreen open source integrated library system (Evergreen ILS) - a highly-scalable software for libraries that helps library patrons find library materials, and helps libraries manage those materials. Evergreen is open source software, freely licensed under the GNU GPL.

We look forward to welcoming hundreds of delegates from around the world with legendary Pacific Northwestern hospitality in a world-class city with tremendous social, recreational and cultural offerings. Please join King County Library System and the BC Libraries Cooperative in celebrating with us, and look for more information about the 2013 conference immediately following the Evergreen 2012 Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana next April.
