Interim Board of Directors and Board Sub-committees

The Interim Board of Directors term of office began October 21, 2008 and concluded June 25, 2009.

The BC Libraries Cooperative Interim Board of Directors was comprised of the following individuals:

  • Greg Buss, Chief Librarian, Richmond Public Library
  • Kevin Kierans, Director of Libraries, Thomson Nicola Regional District Library
  • Nola Newman, Community Librarian, Fort Nelson Public Library
  • Rue Ramirez, Associate University Librarian, Library Systems & Information Technology / Technical Services, University of British Columbia Library
  • Lauren Stara  (Chair), Library Director, Whistler Public Library
  • Denise St Arnaud, Chief Librarian, Prince Rupert Public Library
  • Jacqueline van Dyk, Director, Public Library Services Branch (ex-officio)

The Interim Co-op Board was replaced by a member-elected board at the BC Libraries Cooperative First Annual General Meeting, held on June 25, 2009.

 The Interim Board established two sub-committees:

  • Communications Sub-Committee
    • Rue Ramirez (Chair), Associate University Librarian, Library Systems & Information Technology / Technical Services, University of British Columbia Library
    • Gordon Coleman, Project Coordinator, BC Electronic Library Network
    • Daniel Phillips, Manager of Information Technology, Greater Victoria Public Library
    • Jacqueline van Dyk, Director, Public Library Services Branch (ex-officio)
  • Finance Sub-Committee
    • Greg Buss (Chair), Chief Librarian, Richmond Public Library
